Still Hallowe'en Crafting

Here are a  few more Hallowe'en projects I've made lately, both for swaps over on Craftster. First were the Teesha Moore inspired wall hangings I stitched using various fabrics, metal charms, buttons, leaves, and polymer clay faces. All of the charms and that bit of fencing came from Alpha Stamps. The push mold is a Sculpey product, and I think it is called Whimsical Doll. The packaging is long gone, so don't take my word on that.

After the clay was baked, I painted the features with acrylic paint, rubbed some watered down brown paint into the crevices, wiped wiped wiped, then sealed the entire thing with matte varnish.

A quick Googling produced the images of the trick-or-treaters, and I printed them onto Iron On Quick Fuse paper. They were ironed onto the fabric and then I just stitched with free abandon, adding beads here and there, whatever.

The other project is a sweet bunny who is also trick-or-treating (there seems to be a theme going on here), sitting alongside a smiling jack. The free tutorial for making both the bunny and pumpkin can be found here.

Thanks for taking great pictures, Kristin!

Haunted House Swap at Alpha Stamps!

That's right, you can head over to Alpha Stamps and get your swap on for Hallowe'en. Decorate four DIFFERENT chipboard houses and share your art! Receive four altered houses in return, then bind them together to make a bootiful book. Or steal Leslie's idea and use them in a Hallowe'en banner! It's easy to find the things you need (lots of it HERE) to make your house as sweet or spooky as you like. The houses range in size from about 8" to 9.5", so there is plenty of room to accessorize.

My first house has little witches that are ready for some treats! I used the Little Imps collage sheet and gave them crepe paper dresses. The silver 31 came from the Mini Metal Numerals set, and I didn't even have to paint them.

The other side has singing rooftop cats that I found on the Halloween #3 collage sheet.

This crazy cat is enjoying Hallowe'en and the vintage mini removable postcards.

This one is my favorite because Satan can be taken off the fence and played with.

is he doing a jig, or does he need to pee?

Rotate the black cat to see a grinning surprise!

These Haunted Houses were all kinds of scary fun and I hope you join the swap!
